ok rooney will score a hattrick, and carrick will do the stevie g and rio will be doing the samba!
then suddenly croatia scored four past robinson (spurs) , right wing overlap cole(chelski) with ease, and headers and tap in due to terry's (chelski too) mistake.
Croatia 4 - Rooney 3! ;D just day dreaming

Croatia two good for EnglandWednesday 11 Oct 2006 Paul Robinson committed a howler as England's decision to alter their traditional formation backfired following a 2-0 Euro 2008 qualifying defeat in Croatia. Eduardo da Silva and a Gary Neville own goal in eight second-half minutes condemned England to a first defeat under coach Steve McClaren, but on a night to forget the visitors never really got to grips with their new 3-5-2 formation. McClaren opted to employ wing-backs and a five-man midfield following Saturday's goalless draw with Macedonia at Old Trafford, but after a disappointing display in Zagreb it is back to the drawing board for the England coach. Rio Ferdinand returned to the starting line-up alongside John Terry and Jamie Carragher in a three-man central defensive unit, while Scott Parker was handed a first international start in midfield. But with Neville and Ashley Cole struggling to break forward against a well-organised Croatia frontline and Frank Lampard and Michael Carrick almost anonymous in midfield, England's front pairing of Wayne Rooney and Peter Crouch were often left isolated. In truth England were lucky to reach half-time without conceding as Robinson kept Croatia at bay with a string of saves. First Niko Kranjcar drew a superb point-blank save out of the keeper after a cross from Milan Rapaic deflected into his path. The Tottenham keeper then palmed away a Niko Kovac shot before Eduardo failed to reach a Dario Simic header across the face of goal. Mladen Petric should have broken the deadlock at the start of the second half, but he planted a header straight at Robinson when left unmarked at the back post following a corner. But after Rooney and Crouch had combined and the Manchester United striker drilled narrowly over, Croatia finally got the goal their play deserved on the hour-mark. Eduardo rose above Carragher and looped a header from a Niko Kovac cross over the head of Robinson and into the back of the net. Things then went from bad to worse for England as they gifted Croatia a second in comical fashion. Neville played the ball back to Robinson, but just as the keeper was about to clear his lines it took a wicked kick off the turf and rolled into the back of the net. England then rang the changes with McClaren making a triple substitution, but despite returning to a 4-4-2 formation it was Croatia who always looked the most likely scorers.

What the Papers Say Wednesday 11 Oct 2006
McCLAREN'S 3 COCK-UPS
The heat is on. Luckily for us, it's on Steve McClaren, the new England coach who was quite good until last Saturday, when England reverted to 'insipid', their default operating mode for key games over the last few years. McClaren's England arrive in Croatia having been held to a draw at home by Macedonia.
Croatia have never lost a competitive game at home. Injuries have forced McClaren to change both his defence and midfield. Key player Wayne Rooney is chronically lacking in form. In this context, you might think the papers would be rallying round to cheer up Macca and the boys. You'd be wrong though; it's not the role of the papers to dispense tea and sympathy.
Instead, The Daily Mirror are reporting the comments of Croatia boss Slaven Bilic and those comments, briefly summarized, are: you've made a right mess of this one and we're going to win: 'STEVE McCLAREN was warned he is steering England towards a humiliating defeat in Zagreb tonight. Croatia boss Slaven Bilic is confident his side will beat England in the crunch Euro 2008 qualifier because of a succession of errors by the McClaren and his FA bosses.
Former West Ham and Everton defender Bilic: DOUBTED McClaren's plan to use the 3-5-2 line-up for the first time this evening. QUESTIONED the decision to ditch David Beckham. BLAMED the FA for Wayne Rooney's loss of form.
;D ;D ;D
