Liverpool face tough trip to Toulouse
Liverpool must overcome a tricky trip to Toulouse if they are to reach the Champions League group stage.
The Reds, who have won the competition five times and were beaten in last season's final, must face the Ligue 1 side over two legs for a place in the lucrative section of the competition.
Arsenal's first European tie since the departure of talismanic striker Thierry Henry will be a tough one too, against Czech side Sparta Prague.
Scottish champions Celtic face a tough test against Spartak Moscow in their bid to reach the group stage.
Last season's SPL runners-up Rangers will face either 1991 European Cup winners Red Star Belgrade or Estonian side Levadia Tallinn if they overcome FK Zeta in the second qualifying round. They lead 2-0 from the home leg.
The first legs will be played on August 14 and 15, with the return matches taking place on August 28 and 29.
Toulouse reached the Champions League qualifiers by finishing third in Ligue 1 behind champions Lyon and runners-up Marseille.
They are coached by former Bordeaux boss Elie Baup and one of their star players is Sweden striker Johan Elmander, who was a reported target of Manchester City boss Sven-Goran Eriksson and also Lyon. He scored 11 times for the club, including a last-day hat-trick against Bordeaux.
Arsenal's opponents Sparta are the champions of the Czech Republic. Their success last season was their 34th domestic title and they became the first club since the break-up of Czechoslovakia in the early 1990s to win the domestic double.
Their best performance in Europe came in 1992-93, when they reached the semi-final group stage under an old format of the Champions League.

Rampant Manchester United recorded their third successive UEFA Champions League victory as they tore into Dynamo Kiev in an astonishingly open encounter.
It took Sir Alex Ferguson's side just 10 minutes to expose the weaknesses in Kiev's defence with an unmarked Rio Ferdinand powering home a header from Ryan Giggs' free-kick after Cristiano Ronaldo had been felled by Tiberiu Ghioane.
And Wayne Rooney made it 2-0 just eight minutes later as he tapped home into an empty net from Wes Brown's cut-back after Ronaldo's brilliance had played in the United right-back.
The shell-shocked home side were handed a route back into the match when United went to sleep at a rare Kiev corner and Diogo Rincon was allowed a free header which beat Edwin van der Sar and Ronaldo on the line.
But the Red Devils roared back and, after John O'Shea had scuffed a close-range chance straight at Olexandr Shovkovskiy, Ronaldo was allowed the freedom of the Kiev penalty area to head home another teasing Giggs cross before the interval.
Kiev improved after the break and there were a host of further chances at both ends, but United always carried a greater threat and added a fourth through Ronaldo's penalty after Goran Gavrancic was harshly ruled to have handled Carlos Tevez's cross.
Ismael Bangoura drilled home a second for Kiev from the edge of the box with 12 minutes remaining, but Ferguson was relaxed enough to send on Tomasz Kuszczak and Danny Simpson for Van der Sar and Giggs immediately after for some vital Champions League experience. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

LIVERPOOR>>>LIVERFOOL>>>
Liverpool are in serious danger of a Champions League exit after going down to a 2-1 Group A defeat to Besiktas in Turkey.
Jamie Carragher produced a fine saving tackle to deny Bobo but his attempted clearance deflected straight to Serdar Ozkan and the midfielder slammed home from eight yards, via a deflection of Sami Hyypia in the 13th minute.
Bobo seemed to have wrapped up the win in the 81st minute, beating Hyypia to a loose ball before slotting calmly through Jose Reina's legs.
Liverpool gave themselves hope three minutes later when Steven Gerrard superbly headed home from 15 yards after substitute Peter Crouch caused problems in the box. But Benitez's men could not find an equaliser in the dying moments to leave them rooted to the bottom of their group. ;D ;D
sack the Spanish clown.. ;D

Champions League round-up Manchester United and Arsenal have both qualified from their respective groups in the Champions League.
Manchester United booked a place in the Champions League knockout stages with a routine 4-0 Group F victory over Dynamo Kiev at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils coasted to their fourth successive win in the competition thanks to first-half goals by Gerard Pique and Carlos Tevez and second-half strikes by Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Kiev, without an away win in the Champions League since March 2000, started brightly and saw Carlos Correa fire a 25-yard shot past Edwin van der Sar's post.
But it was the Reds who took the lead shortly after the half-hour mark when Pique headed home from 10 yards after the ball had broken kindly to him in the area following Ronaldo's free-kick.
Just six minutes later they doubled their lead when Tevez intercepted Correa's pass, played a one-two with Rooney, and then fired home an unstoppable shot.
The third arrived in the 77th minute when Nani's right-wing cross was sidefooted home by Rooney and Ronaldo wrapped things up late on when he cut inside and drilled a great shot into the corner of the Kiev goal.
United could have scored more but Ferguson will be more than happy with his side's victory and subsequent progress into the last 16.
MUCH CHANGED
Arsenal collected the point they needed to reach the Champions League's last 16 after a 0-0 draw against Slavia Prague in the Czech Republic.
A much-changed Gunners side - without rested key man Cesc Fabregas - were unable to break down the hosts, who had let in seven at Emirates Stadium a fortnight ago.
Arsenal created little in the first half and when they did break down the right through Theo Walcott, the teenager's final delivery towards Niclas Bendtner in the middle was poor and failed to clear the first defender.
Manuel Almunia was called into action midway through the half as Senkerik ran through and attempted to lift the ball over the Arsenal goalkeeper, who stood tall to deny the Slavia forward.
Emmanuel Adebayor was introduced in the closing stages but headed his only real chance straight at Prague shot-stopper Michal Voral.
The officials found five minutes of stoppage time to play and Arsenal pushed for a winner, but ultimately it ended goalless - a result that puts Arsene Wenger's men into the knockout stages, with Group H rivals Sevilla - 2-0 winners away to Steaua Bucharest - a point behind in second place
RESULTS
Lyon 4-2 Stuttgart
Barcelona 2-0 Rangers
Manchester United 4-0 Dynamo Kiev
Sporting Lisbon 2-2 Roma
Inter Milan 4-2 CSKA Moskow
Fenerbahce 2-0 PSV Eindhoven
Steaua Bucharest 0-2 Sevilla
Slavia Prague 0-0 Arsenal
MU progress with 2 games 2 spare.. ;D ;D ;D
